AXL Energy Inc. is a Canadian clean-energy company. We design and manufacture in-pipe hydro turbines and ocean-current turbines for British Columbia municipalities, First Nations communities, and industrial sites. We do the engineering, we build the hardware, and we are on site when it turns on.

Origin

AXL Energy Inc. was originally incorporated in British Columbia as AXL Protocol Inc. The company rebranded when the turbine program became the center of gravity. Engineering, design, and manufacturing stayed in Metro Vancouver, and the mission sharpened around a single question: where is energy already moving in British Columbia that nobody is capturing?

The answer was water. Millions of litres move every day through municipal mains under pressure that is intentionally burned off at valve stations. Tides push past BC coastlines on predictable schedules. The energy is free, the infrastructure is already there, and the environmental footprint is close to zero. The rebrand made the work visible.

First in Canada

We are the first Canadian company to productize both in-pipe municipal hydro and tidal-channel generation under a single design language and a single supply chain. That matters because it means a BC water district and a BC coastal community can deal with one vendor, one service contract, and one set of control electronics.

Sovereign supply chain

Every AXL turbine is engineered in Vancouver, machined and assembled in British Columbia, and commissioned by our own field team. No offshore rotors. No imported control boards on critical paths. If the border closes tomorrow, your turbine still spins and we still answer the phone.

This is not a slogan. It is a procurement decision we make every time we cut a purchase order, and it is the reason we can stand in front of an IRAP panel or a municipal council and defend every line of the bill of materials.

Community first

Clean power only matters if a community can keep the lights on with it. We deploy where we can sit down with the people who will operate the equipment. BC first. Remote and coastal priority. Projects measured in decades, not fiscal quarters.
